The James Buchanan Distinguished Fellow Award
In years when a suitable recipient is identified, the Society awards its highest academic honor to a member with the designation of James Buchanan Distinguished Fellow. This award is meant to recognize a member whose efforts have made significant contributions over a sustained number of years to the Society and/or to public choice scholarship. The James Buchanan Distinguished Fellow will be announced during the awards luncheon and give a plenary address at the annual meetings.
